Dual transconductance amplifier with optional Darlington buffers. Used in phasers such as the Blackout Whetstone and EHX Small Stone, compressors such as the Ross/Dyna Comp, and the Lab Series® L5. Nearly any circuit using the CA3080 or CA3094 can be reworked to use this instead.
Note: The NE5517 is a second-source equivalent of the LM13700, meaning it’s an identical chip produced by a different manufacturer and will perform the same in any application.
