General-purpose PNP silicon transistor with low noise and medium to high gain. Counterpart to BC549C (NPN). Used in many British circuits such as the Lovetone Big Cheese. TO-92 with formed leads on cut tape.
A direct substitute for 2N5087, but be aware that the pinout is mirrored so it needs to be rotated 180 degrees if used in a layout with the USA “E-B-C” convention.
